Every time I hear this cat play I’m impressed. Did I detect a –III/VI –II/V7 turn around in there somewhere? He’s got it all…thanks to an inspiring teacher and hard work by both. His future looks bright at MU.
Keep up the great teaching and thank you for all you do for the students at Shady Springs HS.

Great Job Michael! We are excited to have you join our musical family here at Marshall next fall. You are a multitalented young man that will have many opportunities to create and perform music in a wide variety of mediums here at Marshall. I also congratulate Mr. Deskins for providing the opportunity and the encouragement of creativity for students at Shady Spring.

Michael you are amazing and a nice person as well! Holden really looks up to you and your accomplishments. We both will listen to this many times. It is thrilling for me and a great inspiration to Holden. You will do so well at Marshall. It will be exciting to watch you continue to grow and produce. Good wishes go with you to Huntington. I know that Jack has been such an influence on you and your work. We all feel so fortunate that Holden has the chance to have the same experiences that you have had in high school. Your talents and Jack’s tutelage seemed to be a match made in heaven.
